Born in Petrópolis, Brazil, in 1989, Romulo Kuranyi grew up between cultures and disciplines. His father — an artist born in Paris with German-Hungarian roots — and his Brazilian mother, a writer with Norwegian and Panamanian heritage, made image, language and different perspectives part of his world from the beginning.

His signature language is built from bold gestural lines, interlocking faces and patterns that grow from spontaneous strokes. Each face carries a perspective, an emotion, a frequency; together they become a network of human encounters. This philosophy lives in VIBRA: a series and artistic movement created to make invisible connections visible.

After years in Stuttgart's gastronomy and event scene, Kuranyi committed himself fully to art. Today he lives and works between Rio de Janeiro, Stuttgart and Dubai. His practice spans original paintings, monumental walls, sculptures and editions as well as installations, live performances and one-of-one collaborations — bringing Fine Art, Editions, Kuranyi Arte, Atelier Kuranyi and RK Studio into one creative universe.
